Nikos Ksilouris was born in Anogeia at 1936 and passed away from cancer at 1980. His family has a long tradition in music and his grandfather was the well known Lyre player called Karamouzandonis. His father, Giorgos Ksilouris was an excellent dancer and singer, but his wish was for his children to get educated rather than follow the music tradition of the family, because, during these years working as a traditional music player was not an easy task.
