Stockbreeding products and olive oil produced in all the villages found on this route are famous for their taste. At Fragkokastello and Skaloti, the famous pies of Sfakia are offered. The sweet rusks of Sfakia and the "apakia", which are made of pork and smoked in the country at Christmas with a mix of aromatic herbs, are also worth trying.
