Episkopi

1. The Cathedral of Agios Ioannis Theologos and the early Christianic basilica.

The church of Agios Ioannis belongs to the cross-in-square type of church with a dome and it was build during the 13th century on top of the ruins of the early Christianic Basilica. It was the early Christianic basilica of Avlopotamos episcopate during the second Byzantine period (961-1204) and the cathedral of the same Episcopate during the Venetian invasion (1204-1669). Wall paintings are preserved at the recess of the dome of the vestry.

After a decision of the Ministry of Culture, published on the Official Government Gazette 1230/Second Issue/3-12-98, it has been declared as an ancient monument.

2. The Episcopal Manor of Milopotamos. (Tower of Kirimides)

The Episcopal manor of Milopotamos is a building block of 1200 square meters, while its total surface along with the open areas is 7800 square meters. Today, it is active as a museum of agricultural pre-industrial and agricultural production, as well as an exhibition of chattels. It is consisted of a series of consecutive two storey buildings. In addition to the main residence areas, it consists of storage spaces as well as rooms for the production of wine, olive oil and raki. It also consists of furnaces and a well that was used for the needs of the block. All the rooms are connected with each other with Venetian type pointed arches and arced arches, as well as inside doors (communicating doors), while Byzantine elements and narrow embrasures are preserved.

3. The Medieval Water-Tower.

The Medieval Water-Tower can be found on the northwestern side of the village, near a picturesque stream, which was facilitating the residents for centuries. Consecutive Venetian type arched water mill.

4. The church of Agios Georgios

5. The chapel of Agia Theodora

Agia Theodora lies outside the settlement of Episkopi, in a cave.

6. In the same settlement there are some buildings, which seem that were first constructed during the Venetian invasion period, however, the largest part of the buildings belongs to both the early and the late period of the Turkish invasion, that can be characterized as historic landmark monuments, important for the research of history and architecture as well as the urban planning process of this area [Ruins of the Koule Tower, building blocks: Michael Kirimakis family, Gorgoraptides and Eleni Kokkinou families (Landmark, watermill at "Moko" site)].
